Abstract
To analyze the factors influencing the lateral velocity of penetrator with enhanced lateral effect(PELE)shell,a theoretical analysis model for its lateral velocity is established. According to the requirement of thin metal target sensitivity, the model based on the kinetic energy theorem and momentum theorem is combined with the principle and features of the PELE penetrating thin metal targets. The acoustic impedances of fillers and target materials, the density and Poisson's ratio of shells, the density and thickness of targets, the target impact velocities, the ratios of the inner-outer diameters and the length-diameter ratios are considered comprehensively in this model. Combining with the structure of PELE, the condition of the target and the speed range in the practical application of combat,a three-dimension numerical simulation is proposed by using the software of LS-DYNA. The result shows the lateral velocity of the PELE shell increases with the increase of the acoustic impedance of the filler and the target impact velocity under the interaction of the shell and the filler. The calculating result of the theoretical model agrees with that of the numerical simulation.关键词
