中国现代文学教学与学生能力培养
On the Teaching of Modern Chinese Literature and the Cultivation of College Students＇ Professional Competence

Abstract
University education should focus on the cultivation of students＇ practical competence,a consensus reached by the public in recent years.In terms of the instruction of modern Chinese literature courses,the most important task lies in fostering the students＇ ability of literary perception and the ability to analyze and appreciate literary works.Teachers must explore every avenue to accomplish that task in light of the characteristics of thinking and knowledge structure of lower-level college students while taking into account the curriculum features and content of instruction of modern Chinese literature courses.Efforts should be made to 1） transform the students＇ learning psychology and learning habits and let them break through the exam-oriented stereotype;2） put right the prejudiced conception of ＂futility of literature＂,reinstate the value of literature and literature learning,and stimulate the students＇ enthusiasm for literature learning;3） enhance the students＇ overall competence and professional quality through enormous amounts of text reading and text appreciation activities;and 4） intensify training activities to give students incentives to read and to think.关键词
