摘要

Abstract

The full-length cDNA encoding a MADS-box protein, designated CaMADS. Was isolated from Capsicum annuum. Sequence analysis showed that the length of CaMADS is 943 bp, it is consisted of a 744 bp open reading frame, a 25 bp 5'UTR and a 174 bp 3'UTR, encoding 247 amino acids with molecular weight of 28.7 Ku, isoelectric point(pI)of 9.32 and conservative MADS-box. The results of RT-PCR analysis indicated that CaMADS transcripts accumulated at relatively low levels in the flower and leaves. The expression of CaMADS increased during ripening of hot pepper, indicating that the CaMADS was associated with ripening of hot peppers fruit
