摘要

Abstract

The TloraPba0.98Te sample prepared by ball milling and hot pressing has good thermoelectric property, but softens in high temperature. The addition of Al2O3, nano powder effectively strengthens the sample. At the same time, the A12O3 nano powder distributes uniformly at the grain boundary and prevents grain growth during hot pressing process, which decreases the grain size by about 50 times than that without A12O3 addition. The increased interface of refined grains scatters more long wave length phonons and decreases the lattice thermal conductivity by about 20% , resulting in 1.3 ZT in Tl0.02Pb0.98Te(Al2O3) sample at 723 K.
