镍钛拉簧及橡皮链远中移动尖牙的疗效观察

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical treatment outcome of distal movement of cuspids using nickel titanium springs and elastic chains. Methods 31 cases with orthognatic malocclusions needing fixed orthodontic treatment with extractions of first bicuspids were randomly selected to enter the study. They received orthodontic treatment by using nickel titanium coil sp-ings on one side and elastic chains on the other side within the same arch to move the cuspids distally. The pulling force utilized was about 150 grams. The treatment outcome of both techniques were compared. In addition, comparisons were made between maxillary and mandibular cuspids as well as between adults and adolescents in the movement of cuspids . Results Nickel titanium coil springs moved cuspids distally at the pace of 1.20mm/month while elastic chains moved cuspids at the pace of 0. 90mm/ month. The difference is of statistic significance ( P < 0. 05). The difference in the speed of movement between maxillary and mandibular cuspids is also of statistic significance ( P < 0. 05). Further more, the difference in the speed of movement of the cuspids between adults and adolescents is of statistic significance (P < 0. 05). Conclusion Nickel titanium coil springs moved cuspids distally at a much fast speed than elastic chains; maxillary cuspids moved faster than mandibular cuspids; cuspids of adolescents moved faster than cuspids of adults.关键词
