Abstract
The definition of magic realism is elaborated. The main characteristic in Beloved, magicrealism, is analyzed, as well as its functions in building up the themes. Morrison expressed the brutality of slavery through the magic world in Beloved, in the world; he used the patterns of mythology and folklore to reveal the repression and resistance of culture, and expressed the theme with the magical narratives.关键词
