Abstract
This paper shows an introduction to the standardization definition of Prof. Henk de Vries at ROTTERDAM SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, ERASMUS UNIVERSITY, Netherlands. From the definition, the author explores the matching problems of human, the relations between science and technology and the solutions of matching problems, matching problems and standards, the concept of de facto standard, etc. The main findings include that many cases of the solutions of matching problems in the ancient China and those in the modem history, are consistent with the definition of standardization; many solutions of matching problems in modern enterprises are of de facto standards; composing Ying Zao Fa Shi (State Building Standards) by Li Jie in Song dynasty and some of the processes of governments preparing mandate standards are also in the spectrum of standardization.关键词
