Nonlinear calculation of the preload pressure of gate water seal with Rivlin model
摘要
Abstract
This paper presents a nonlinear finite element(FE) method that calculates the preload pressure of a gate water seal with a square head P60 and considers the significant impact of the pressure on hoisting force.This method follows the elementary FE theories and uses hyperelastic parameters that are determined by curve fitting with Rivlin models of two,three,five parameters and nine parameters,respectively.The calculations are compared with the measured preload pressure on a model test.Results show that the five-parameters Rivlin model is the best for engineering application,and it is more accurate in predicting the preload pressure of water seal if a nonlinear FE calculation is adopted.This work provides useful data the design of gate hoist devices.关键词
