摘要

Abstract

In order to further improve the performance of bamboo structures in the area of construction,a type of bamboo beams reinforced with near surface mounted steel bars was proposed in the paper.The experimental study on four bamboo beams with and without steel bars strengthening was conducted.Results show that steel bars can effectively enhance the stiffness of bamboo beams,but the design load is still controlled by the stiffness of its cross-section,and the steel bars in the tension zone share tensile stress of bamboo.The greatest advantages of the bamboo beams reinforced with near surface mounted steel bars is green,low carbon,energy saving and can reduce carbon dioxide emissions,making its large-scale popularization and application possible.
