Effects of complex aaline-alkali stress on seed germination in Apium graveolens

摘要

Abstract

The germination rate and the germination index of celery seeds under the complex saline-alkali stress of NaCl, Na2SO4, NaHCO3, and Na2CO3 were observed. The results showed that the celery seed germination rate, germination energy, germination index, and vigor index decreased with the pH and salt concentration increased. The correlation between the germination index and the salt concentration was greater than that of the pH. Effects of low concentration salinity stress on celery seed germination were smaller, the celery seed germination was seriously affected by high concentration salt and alkaline.
