An application detecting evolutionary events of genomes of influenza A viruses

Abstract
Objective Antigenicity of influenza A virus was frequently shifted by cross - host transmission or reassort-tnent among human, swine and avian viruses. Traditionally, these evolutionary events were detected by evolutionary analysis that had shortcomings of complexity and being hard to set evolutionary algorithms and parameters. Methods We proposed a genotype profile method previously that overcame these shortcomings at some level. In the current paper, we developed a tool called "Tool for influenza A virus evolutionary events (IVEE) " implementing the genotype profile method. Results IVEE is an easy - to - use tool and can rapidly detect evolutionary events of genomes of influenza A viruses such as transmission and reassortment. Conclusion IVEE can be used to surveil virus evolution and be an application accompanying programs for evolutionary analysis.关键词
