Abstract
Traditional translation teaching in college English can not satisfies the needs for talents nowadays.It is necessary to walk out of this traditional model and pay attention to students＇ translation qualities with effective translation theory.Functionalists mainly focus on text function,translation action and aim,translation strategies.Applying functional theories to translation teaching in college English is constructive to help students understand the text better and improve students＇ translation competence quicker.Talking about translation teaching in college English from functional approaches will widen the train of thought of translation teaching studies further.关键词
