Abstract
The New Rural Cooperative Medical System is a preferential system aimed at changing the situation that the illness would worsen the family＇s economy due to expensive medical expenses, even resulting in poverty status.This system has reduced the medical burden on farmers effectively to some degrees since it was put forward and piloted.However, there still exist many problems in the specific operation, such as high financing cost, farmers＇low enthusiasm, low medical service ability and lack of legal protection.In order to perfect this system and advance its development, we should take such measures as establishing a scientific and reasonable fund-raising mechanism, intensifying publicity efforts, strengthening the construction of service facilities and accelerating the legislation.关键词
