Multi-field comprehensive design for high speed PM motor rotor
摘要
Abstract
The strength and dynamic characteristic analyses of rotor are key techniques for the design of high-speed permanent magnet(PM) motor.The comprehensive design of high speed PM rotor should be performed based on strength,electromagnetic and dynamic characteristics.The finite element method was used to analyze stress field,electromagnetic field and mode of rotor.The multi-field iteration comprehensive design was carried out with the optimal design module of finite element software.The variation range of rotor diameter was determined through the strength analysis.The structure of PM and the axial size of rotor were selected according to the requirement in the output power of motor.The rotor length was determined on basis of the dynamic requests.The comprehensive design results with meeting the requests in strength,critical speed and electromagnetic characteristics were achieved through the multi-field comprehensive analysis for the rotor.The design and manufacture of a 100kW high-speed PM machine with rated speed of 60000rpm were conducted with the present method.The practical experiments for the motor validate the correctness of the present method.关键词
