Abstract
The effects of solid concentration, particle size and its distribution, temperature and shear rate on the relative viscosities of polymer polyols (POP), which was a polyether glycol prepared by modification of poly (propylene glycol) with the graft copolymer of styrene and acrylonitrile, were studied. A model was established to relate the relative viscosity of the thick POP suspension with particle size and its distribution, temperature and solid concentration. The simulation results demonstrated that the relative viscosity increased with the increase of the solid concentration, decreased with the increase of particle size in the system with small particle dispersity index, and was intensely affected by particles with small size in the system with big particle dispersity index. The relative viscosity of POP decreased quickly with temperature rise in the temperature range of 295 -320 K, but nearly unchanged in the temperature range of 320 - 350 K. The relative viscosity of POP with high solid concentration behaved as non-Newtonian fluid with the increase of the shear rate.关键词
