Abstract
Lev Tolstoy＇ s religious thoughts and superstitious beliefs in Anna Karenina are expounded through studying the creative process of sublimating prototypes in real life to great artistic images. Anna＇ s persistent pursuit of love as an aristocratic woman and the great social changes of Russia in 1970s and 1980s are discussed. What it is aimed to tell the readers is that even a great figure like Tolstoy cannot get rid of the limitations which times, society and family bring to him.关键词
