Abstract

Both beams and pillars of rail floor of Ji'nan west railway-station on Beijing - Shanghai high-speed railway are steel structures and their constructional elements mostly are thick plates with large section and concentrated welding joints. The project was constructed in witer. A series of guidance solutions were worked out from whole welding option, welding partition to specific welding techniques in order to ensure welding quality under cold condition, to decrease welding deformations and reduce stress concentration. As proved by practice, the welding quality was excellent. This article introduces the key procedures of welding quality control for similar welding projects' reference.
