Abstract
Sour natural gas couldn't be directly used in remote natural gas yards and their nearby areas, and often was transported by pipe to the centralized purification plants to purify it then returned back for use, which cost too much. A cost-efficient small equipment for local desulfurization of natural gas was designed to solve the problem. It was composed of three systems: (1) dehydration system for removal of water in natural gas; (2) desulfurization system with the high capacity generable iron oxide desulfurizer, and (3) membrane system for removal of carbon dioxide, and the natural gas treated by it could meet domestic natural gas quality specification. The field test run proved that the operating load of desulfurizer could be adjusted directly as demanded and the state of desulfurizer could be visually observed. The equipment was simple in structure and easy to unpack, and could well meet the demand for in situ purification of natural gas in remote gas yards and their nearby areas.关键词
