摘要

Abstract

An effective approach of phosphogypsum utilization is the production of ammonium sulfate from ammonium carbonate and phosphogypsum. However, impurities in phosphogypsum have a negative impact on gypsum transformation process and the crystallization of calcium carbonate , and thus on the separation process of calcium carbonate. In this paper, calcium sulfate dihydrate and ammonium carbonate were used as raw materials, with phosphoric acid, magnesium nitrate, sodium fluoride and acid-insoluble material(AI) as impurity additives, to investigate the effects of the impurities P, Mg2+ , F- and AI on the conversion of calcium sulfate. The crystal line state and morphology of the product calcium carbonate were characterized by SEM and XRD analysis. The results show that the impurities not only affected the conversion of sulfur in gypsum, but also changed the type and shape of calcium carbonate crystal, consequently, affected the physical properties and filtration performance of products.
