摘要

Abstract

With the application of satellite communication system in Ku band, the influence of rain attenuation to satellite transmission link is becoming an important influential factor in design and application of satellite communication system. Aiming at the influence of rain attenuation on the availability of Ku-band satellite communication system, this paper introduces briefly the reasons of rain attenuation and its influence on satellite transmission link. Then the calculation method of rain attenuation recommended by the ITU is analyzed. Finally the design concept of automatic observation system for transmission characteristics of satellite link in Ku band is put forward.
