A Detection Method of Centroid Jamming in Monopulse Radar Seeker

Abstract
Chaff centroid jamming is one of the major passive jamming techniques against anti-ship missile in the terminal guidance phase, and its detection can help choose one's occasion to perform countermeasures. Echoes in monopulse radar seeker receiver were generated by modeling ship and chaff as swerling IV and swelling II, respectively. It was showed by theoretical analysis and comparison that echoes under centroid jamming were with the approximated Gaussian distribution, and on this foundation a generalized likelihood ratio test ( GLRT) algorithm was proposed for centroid jamming detection in beamwidth. This detection algorithm was validated by simulation, which had taken into the consideration of several important factors, as false alarm probability, pulse accumulation number,direction-of-arrival and signal-to-jamming power ratio, and their impact upon detection performance were also examined.关键词
