摘要

Abstract

The effects of the antenna characteristics on the pulse shape distortions in the ultra-wideband radio systems are presented. The transmitting and receiving characteristics are described by the antenna system transfer functions. Frequency domain measurements and time domain measurements on typical planar UWB antennas are held in the anechoic chamber. The transmitting and receiving processes of the pulse signal are presented. Combined with the antenna system transfer function, the radiated power density spectrum shaping which complied with FCC's emission limit mask can be designed, and the template signal in the receiver with the best fidelity can be obtained. Then, the optimal performance of overall systems is obtained.
