摘要

Abstract

This experiment was conducted to analyze the association between polymorphism of SCD1 gene and milking traits for Chinese Holstein. The polymorphism of the A293V site in SCD1 gene was investigated for 610 Chinese Holstein cows from a dairy farm in Shanghai using polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphism (PCR-SSCP) technique, and using general linear model, the effects of the polymorphism of the A293V site on daily milk yield, fat percentage, milk protein percentage, 305 days corrected milk yield, milk fat yield, milk protein yield and SCS were analyzed. Three genotypes were found and the genotypic frequencies of AA, AV and VV were 0. 634,0. 323 and 0. 043, respectively. The allele frequencies of A and V were 0. 796 and 0. 204. A significant association between SCD1 A293V and both fat and protein percentages was identified (P<C0. 05) , no significant association between SCD1 A293V and test-ed-day milk yield, SCS, 305-day corrected milk yield, 305-day protein yield and 305-day fat yield (P>0. 05) was found. LSD showed that the cow with W genotype had higher milk fat percentage and protein percentage than those with AV and AA genotypes (P<0. 01). The SCD1 A293V substitution has some genetic effect on milking traits, and its mechanism need to be further researched.
