Abstract
Objective To discuss the feasibility and clinical effects of uniportal video - assisted thoracoscopic surgery( VATS ) in treatment of mediastinal tumors. MethodsThe clinical data of 21 patients with mediastinal tumors who underwent VATS in our department were analyzed. Results Among the 21 ones, 16 ones received the uniportal VATS and other 5 ones received the tri - portal VATS. The average operation time was 95( 30 - 160 )min,and the average blood loss was 110( 20 - 450 )ml. The average drainage was 430( 300 - 950 )ml. The average postoperative hospital stay was 6. 3( 4 - 8 )d. All the patients achieved postoperative recovery and no severe complication occurred. The follow - up time ranged from 1 to 22 months and there was no recurrence. Conclusion The uniportal VATS is a safe and feasible method in treatment of mediastinal tumors. It should be considered as the first therapeutic option for the treatment of cysts and solid tumors with the diameter less than 4 cm.关键词
