Abstract

Objective To develop a set of experiment chambers of complex low-pressure environment, in which the conditions of high altitude & low pressure, low pressure & low temperature, low pressure & high temperature, rapid decompression can be simulated. Methods With the multi-chamber structure and four high-power vacuum pumps applied, the air flow was controlled by the electromagnetic valves over the pipeline. The flow of fresh air into the chambers and the drawing out of the vacuum achieved dynamic balance by the control software. The system for communication, oxygen supply, physiological monitoring and environment detection was equipped. ReeultB The simulated altitude was up to 40000m, with the rapid decompression time being 0.01s. In the meantime, the chambers were of the function of simulating the complex circumstances of high altitude & low pressure, low pressure & low temperature, low pressure & high temperature, rapid decompression. The function met the design requirements and reached the national leading research level. Conclusion The set of experiment chambers can decrease the load of operation by preprogrammed automatic control without adding persons. The simulation of high altitude & low pressure circumstance is improved, and the requirements for the simulation of the conditions of high altitude & low pressure, low pressure & low temperature, low pressure & high temperature, rapid decompression are satisfied.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2011,32(12) :6-8,12]
