Droplets Growth Model in Wet Steam Two-phase Condensation Flow

Abstract
In order to describe droplet growth precisely to improve the accuracy and reliability of numerical simulation of wet steam condensation flow, a water droplet growth theory based on the heat and mass transfer balance was proposed to describe droplet growth. The presented model was compared with several other widely used droplet growth models in wet steam two-phase flow. It is demonstrated that the Liu-Han model performs well with high accuracy in the entire range of Kn number and is better than the other models, especially in the transition zone. Simultaneously a numerical simulation of condensing flow in Laval nozzle was performed to reveal the impacts of different droplet growth model on two-phase parameters. Results show that the effect of different droplet growth model on nucleation rate, droplet number and droplet radius is obvious, but little on wetness.关键词
