摘要
Abstract
Cathepsin L is a cysteine protease with potent collagenolytic and elastinolytic activities and has increasingly prominent role in cardiovascular disease. In human carotid atheroma cathepsin L mainly accumulated in macropha-ges and mediated macrophages apoptosis, which led to plaque destabilization. In this article, the development of cathepsin L in atherosclerosis was reviewed.关键词
