摘要
Abstract
Objective: The present study investigated the relationships among personality, intelligence and academic performance in the framework of the Big-Five model of personality. Methods: A total of 392 high school students ranging from 16 to 18 years of age completed the Chinese Big Five Personality Inventory (CBF-PI) and the Chang-An Intelligence Test (C-AITG). Results: ? All the total score and three components of intelligence test were correlated substantially with academic performance; ?Four dimensions (C, 0, A and N) of Big Five personality and their facets correlected with academic performance with significantly different levels, the personaltiy traits didn't significantly correlated with intelligence score; ?Intelligence accounted for 17.4% of the variance of academic performance and the Big Five dimensions could accounted for an additional 12.1%, whereas, the 22 personality facets could accounted for an additional 18.3%. Conclusion: Personality and its narrow facets are able to substantially increase the prediction than does intelligence.关键词
