Abstract
Objective:To study the clinical value of Thinprep cytologic test(TCT) in urothelial carcinoma patients' following-up after operation. Methods: A total of 74 cases of UC were followed up regularly by urine examination of TCT and traditional manual smear method. Urine tumor cells were determined and the tumor recurrence events were monitored. Results: In this group of 74 cases of patients, 25 cases of high grade urothelial carcinoma patients, followed up for one year, recurrence of 13 cases, urine examination of TCT found the tumor cells is 11, the sensitivity rate was 84. 6 % , and 6 patients with urine examination of TCT earlier than for cystoscopy found tumor recurrence. The urine examination of traditional manual smear method found tumor cells is 7, the sensitivity rate was 53. 8%. All the 41 cases of low grade urothelial carcinoma patients were followed up for one year, recurrence events were found in cases. Urine examination of TCT found the tumor cells was 4, the sensitivity rate was 66. 7 %. The urine examination of traditional manual smear method found the tumor cells was 2, and the sensitivity rate was 33. 3%. Conclusions: Urine TCT check more sensitive than manual smear method and can be used in the urothelial carcinoma patients were followed up for tumor recurrence, and can play the early detection and early diagnosis function.关键词
