摘要
Abstract
Objective To establish the Steiner's cephalometric norms for Uygur adolescents,compare the gender and inter -racial variations in dentoskeletal structures.and to test the hypothesis that there are racial differences in cephalometric measurements between Uygur and Han nationality adolescents. Methods 70 subjects aged 12-18 years (male 34,fema!e 36,mean age 15.4) with class I normal occlusion and balanced facial aesthetics selected from 1500 Uygur students.The lateral cephalograms of eachone were taken and measured by Hua Zheng cephalometric measurement software (provided by Bei Jing medical university) based on application of Steiner methods. Results ① The cephalometric Steiner norms for Uygur adolescents with normal occlusion have established.statistical analysis indicates that there are no significant gender differences;②compared with the same gender Han nationality adolescents, There were significant differences on except ANB、OP/SN、SU、Po-NB(male)、SNA(female)、SNB(female) 、MP/SN (female) (P>0.05) indexes. Conclusion The convexity of Uygur adolescents is smaller than Han nationality adolescents.aiso possessed more retrusive upper and lower incisors,more protrusive chin,more anteriorly located condylion and upwards having type III facial features, compared with the same genders Han adolescents,it exhibits unique characteristics of craniofacial structure.关键词
