摘要
Abstract
Teachers' silence,a behavior to reserve and filter opinions,will adversely affect the university.This paper classifies teachers' silence into seven types: indifferent,defensive,inter-personal phobia,individual,academic and administrative.It analyses factors responsible for the phenomenon from the angles of professional temperament,work property,teachers' mental bond,the internal organization of the college,school structure,personal character and traditional culture.Finally it suggests the following solutions to break teachers' silence.The university should establish a democratic managerial mode,an administrative culture based on mutual respect and trust,an effective communication channel,a multi-dimensional evaluation system,a self-improvement and team coordination system and a set of effective incentive or encouraging measures.关键词
