Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of argon plasma coagulation combined with drugs in treating acute nonvariceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods Twenty - seven patients with acute nonvariceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding received the treatment of argon plasma coagulation combined with drugs. Adverse reactions were observed. Results Among the 27 cases, secondary bleeding was observed in one with post bulbar duodenal ulcer bleeding on the second day after treatment and in another case with duodenal ulcer bleeding on the first day after treatment. Both cases underwent emergency en-doscopy and argon plasma coagulation therapy which stopped the bleeding successfully. No secondary bleeding was observed in the remaining cases. All patients recovered. No hemostatically invalid cases were noted, nor open operation or death were reported. Conclusion Argon plasma coagulation combined with drugs therapy is both safe and effective in treating acute nonvariceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding.关键词
