Abstract
A total of 32 strains ofEscherichia coli were isolated from diarrhea samples （n=6） and intestine contents （n=2） collected from diseased pigs in Shanghai. PCR analysis of the rfbE gene of the isolates indicated that one of the isolates was positive for being the serotype ofEscherichia coli O157：H7, which was further conformed by immunological assay. The isolate was found to carry Shiga toxin-producing gene 2, but not the Shiga toxin-producing gene 1 and some other toxic factors, as detected by PCR analysis. The isolate was able to catabolize sorbitol and resistant to almost all of antibiotics tested.关键词
