Abstract
A total of 122 goat fecal specimens were collected in Bijie city of Guizhou Province and examined for the presence of coccidian oocysts by using floating method, McMaster's method and oocyst cultures. A color digital camera with binocular optical microscope was linked to a computer so that observation, recording and measurement of coccidian oocysts could be completed on the computer screen. The positive rate of coccidian oocysts was 96.72% and OPG ranged from 600 to 23400 (average 7057). Eimeria tenella was identified in 8 fecal specimens and the morphology of their oocysts was described. These results demonstrated the feasibility of direct observation, recording and measurement of coccidia oocysts on computer screen linked with color digital camera with binocular optical microscope.关键词
