Abstract
Objective To testify the effectiveness of a gradual target identification training program for a child with a cochlear implant (CI)through a case study. Methods With the five cognitive abilities as the assessment and monitoring parameters, the target identification abilities of a 6-year-old hearing-impaired child with CI were tested with a multimedia software. According to the test results and the cognitive characteristics of the child, a gradual training protocol was developed. The child received the training three times one week and one hour each time. Three months later, the target identification test was performed again and the results were compared with those before the training. Results Through systematic and effective training, the target identification abilities of the child were significantly improved. Conclusion The gradual target identification training is a feasible protocol, which can be used in relevant teaching activities.关键词
