Analysis of 180 Cases of Adverse Drug Reactions in Our Hospital

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the general rules and characteristics of the adverse drug reactions (ADR) in our hospital. METHODS: 180 ADR reports collected from our hospital in 2010 were analyzed statistically in respects of age, sex, route of administration, drug type, organ or system involved in ADR and clinical manifestations. RESULTS: 180 ADR reports involved a total of 8 major categories of drugs, with the highest proportion of antimicrobials (accounting for 35.00%), followed by TCM and TCM injection (accounting for 26.11% ); the proportion of intravenous route of administration was more than others (accounting for 82.22% ) ; skin and its appendants damage accounted for the highest proportion of clinical manifestations (accounting for 37.78%), followed by systemic damage (accounting for 17.78%). CONCLUSION: Importance should be attached to rational drug use monitoring, reporting of ADR to avoid or minimize the occurrence of ADR cases.关键词
