Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To establish air-acetylene flame atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) for the content determination of 10 trace elements including Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb, Cd, Cr, Zn, Ni, Ca and Mg in Aconitum carmichaelii. METHODS: The samples were digested with nitric-perchloric acid (4:1) on electric heating plate set at 140 ℃. RESULTS: The linear range (μg·mL-1) were as follows: 0~3.0 for Cu, 0~4.0 for Fe,0~1.0 for Mn,0~5.0 for Pb,0~0.25 for Cd,0~4.0 for Cr,0~2.0 for Zn,0~5.0 for Ni,0~4.0 for Ca,0~4.0 for Mg. All of the correlation coefficients were not less than 0.992 6. The recovery rates were between 100.11% and 102.62%, and the RSDs were between 0.16% and 2.2%. CONCLUSION: This method could be used to determine the content of Cu, Fe, Mn , Pb , Cd , Cr , Zn , Ni , Ca and Mg in A. carmichaelii. The results obtained will offer some basic data for the study of the relationship between trace elements and clinical efficacy of A. carmichaelii.
