Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To determine the contents of lead, arsenic and cadmium in Chinese patent medicine Yindan Xinnao-tong capsules, Jinlianhua capsules, Qiye anshen dripping pills. METHODS: After samples were directly digested, graphite furnace absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) was adopted for the determination of samples. RESULTS: The calibration curves were linear in the range of 3-18 ug-L ' for lead(r=0.999 6) ,20-80 ug'L' for arsenic (r=0.999 9),0.2-1.2 |ig-L ' for cadmium (r=0.999 8). Average recovery rate were 95%-103%.CONCLUSION: The method is suitable for the determination of heavy metals in Chinese patent medicines with the advantages of being simple, rapid, sensitive.
