Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To understand the writing quality of outpatient prescription in our hospital and general information of rational drug use, and to improve rational drug use in the clinic. METHODS: According to Prescription Management and Research Method and Evaluation Index for Rational Drug Use in Medical Institution and Hospital Prescription Comments Regulation {trial), 66 419 outpatient prescriptions were randomly collected from our hospital in 2010, and then checked to record basic index of prescriptions and irrational prescriptions. Data analysis was carried out using Excel software. The basic index, writing quality and irrational drug use in prescriptions were analyzed. 30 outpatients were randomly collected on the 15th day every month (a total of 360 cases) and patient care indicators were analyzed. RESULTS: The average number of drugs per prescription was 2.65; the percentage of antibiotics prescribed was 38.7% ; the percentage of irrational prescriptions was 7.1% , in which irrational writing accounted for 93.7%. Unreasonable drug use accounted for 6.3% , which manifested as disagreement of clinical diagnosis with drug use, unreasonable usage and dosage, etc. In patient care indicators, the average consultation time was 4.7 min; average dispensing time was 15.8 s; the percentage of drugs actually dispensed was 99.6%. CONCLUSION: The writing quality of outpatient prescriptions and rational use of drugs were rational basically in our hospital, which remain to be improved.关键词
