Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the application and trend of antibacterials in the inpatients of our hospital. METHODS: By retrospective study, antibacterial use density (AUD) in the inpatients of our hospital was analyzed statistically from 2008 to 2010. RESULTS: The AUD of the inpatients in our hospital was in decreasing tendency in the past 3 years, decreasing from 64.255 DDD/100 persons/d in 2008 to 57.96 DDD/100 persons/d in 2010. The most frequently used antibacterials were third-generation cepha-losporins, fluoroquinolones and second-generation cephalosporins. The highest AUD in different departments or sections in sequence were ICU, gynaecology and obstetrics department, VIP department, respiratory department and pediatrics department. CONCLUSIONS : On the whole, AUD of our hospital is lower than national average level. But there are still some departments which have the abuse of antibacterials, and expensive broad-spectrum antibacterials are still some doctors' preferences. Third/fourth-generation cephalosporins and fluoroquinolones should be strictly restricted in clinical application, in order to improve rational use of drugs.关键词
