Comparison of 2 Different Methods for Content Determination of Acetylcysteine

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To compare two different methods for the content determination of acetylcysteine raw material. METHODS: The content of acetylcysteine was determined by titration and HPLC respectively. RESULTS: The result of the titra-tion was higher that that of HPLC method. The standard curve was linear over the range of 0.108 0-1.269 0 mg-mL"1 (r=0.999 5) with an average recovery rates of it at low, medium and high concentrations 99.77% , 100.20% , 100.20% (RSD=0.48% ) by HPLC. CONCLUSIONS: The method of titration is simple and quick; but HPLC can intuitively and really reflect the impurities of the sample, compared to titration, the content of samples is lower.关键词
