On the Management and Ethical Issues of Human Cryo - Preserved Embryos and Gametes

Abstract
With the development of Assisted Reproductive Technology, favorable and unfavorable accompanying factors also arise simultaneously. For instance, the application of embryos and gametes cryopreservation is increasing. Doctors actively abandon the sub - ranked cryo - preserved embryos for financial consideration. And the demand for scientific research on cryo - preserved embryos and gametes also increases. All those factors jointly led to the regulatory and ethical dilemmas, such as the dilemma in implementing informed consent, the use and free flow of cryo - preserved embryos and gametes, and the superficial ethics review which fails to play its supposed function, and so on. Corresponding countermeasure are also raised according to the current situation and existing problems, including perfecting relevant laws and regulations, fully playing the function of ethics committee, establishing and improving the managing mechanism of medical institutions, and further developing the capacity and supervision function of ethics committee.关键词
