Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of rosuvastatin and simvastatin in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia. Methods A hundred and twenty patients with hypercholesterolemia were randomly divided into two groups. The control group (60 cases) was treated with rosuvastatin 5 mg/d and the treatment group (280 cases) was treated with simvastatin 10 mg/d. The treatment course was 8 weeks. Then the efficacy and adverse reactions were observed and recorded in the two groups. Results After the use of rosuvastatin and simvastatin, the levels of TC, LDL - C and TG in the two groups were decreased, the difference had no statistical significance ( P > 0. 05). The increment of HDL - C in the rosuvastatin group was higher than that in the simvastatin group with statistical dif-ference( P< 0. 05). The total effective rate was 90.00% in the rosuvastatin group and 83.33% in the simvastatin group. Comparing the adverse reactions between the two groups showed no statistical difference! P > 0. 05). Conclusion Rosuvastatin is more effective than simvastatin in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia, the adverse reactions in both drugs have no significant difference.关键词
