Abstract
Objective To comparatively study the efficacy and safety of venlafaxine and fluoxetine in the treatment of the patients with depression. Methods According to the Category and Diagnostic Criteria of Mental Disorder of China, third edition(CCMD - 3), 110 cases of depression were randomly divided into two groups, venlafaxine group (n = 30) and the fluoxetine group (ft = 80). The efficacy was assessed using the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD). The safety and adverse reactions were assessed by the Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS). Results The excellent effective rate and the effective rate were 76.67% and 93.33% in the venlafaxine group, and 65.00% and 88.75% in the fluoxetine group without statistical difference between them( P > 0. 05). Conclusion Venlafaxine is safe and effective to treat depression, the adverse reactions and the curative efficacy have no significant difference with fluoxetine.关键词
