The Application of Formaldehyde in ECF Bleaching of Bamboo Pulp

摘要

Abstract

The bamboo pulp after oxygen deligniilcation was bleached using sequences of DOEPD, in this paper. The effect of the factors including kappa factor, initial pH value, bleaching temperature, bleaching time and formaldehyde dosage in Do on the brightness in Do stage were discussed. The results showed that addition of 0.6% formaldehyde in Do stage can increase the pulp final brightness or can save the a-mount of chlorine dioxide at certain target brightness, therefore can reduce AOX load of the effluent and reduce bleaching cost.
