Effect of early hearing intervention on intelligent development in high-risk infants
摘要
Abstract
To assess the effects of early hearing intervention on intelligent development in high-risk infants.Forty five high-risk infants were diagnosed as hearing loss by combination of distortion product otoacoustic emission (DPOAE )and auditory brainstem response (ABR); 20 of them were intervened within 6 months after birth and followed up subsequently, other 25 subjects were not intervened. Twenty normal infants in the same age were randomly selected as control group. Audiological evaluation and Gesell development quotient(DQ) were analyzed for all subjects at 3 to 18 months after birth. The average hearing threshold of the intervention group was 57.34 ± 10.49dBHL before intervention and 19.62 ± 3.12dBHL after intervention. The average hearing threshold of the control group and the non-intervention group was 18.25 ± 3.52 Dbhl and 58.12 ±9.87 Dbhl respectively. The average scores of Gesell DQ in intervention group were gradually increased, there were significant differences(P<0.05) in DQ scores among three groups.ConclusionThe newborns with identified hearing loss by hearing screening should be early intervened systemically; which can greatly improve the intelligent development for them.关键词
