Solubility of Ethylene Glycol Mono-Ether in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Experimental Determination and Correlation

Abstract
The solubilities of ethylene glycol monomethyl ether and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether were measured at temperatures ranging from 313 to 363 K and pressures from 8.2 to 18.3 MPa in supercritical carbon dioxide.The solubility data were calculated and correlated using a semiempirical Bartle and Chrastil model,which showed satisfactory agreement with each other and the average absolute relative deviations were in the range of 8.88 %-16.72 % and 6.00 %-7.84 % respectively.According to the theory developed by Kumar and Johnston,solubility data were also used to estimate the partial molar volumes 2 for compounds at different temperatures in the supercritical phase using.关键词
