摘要

Abstract

The Ca addition in magnesium alloys significantly raises their ignition-proof performance. In this paper, the surface tension of molten Mg-9%AI alloy with different Ca addition amount at different temperature has been measured. The results show that the surface tension of the molten alloy decreases exponentially with the increase of Ca addition at the same temperature. With the increase of temperature, the surface tension of molten alloy decreases, and the decrease shows a linear trend at temperatures below 760 °C, but an exponential trend at temperatures above 760 °C. At the same time the grain was refined after adding Ca to Mg-9%AI alloy.
