Abstract
In order to optimize the foundry technology, the mould filling and solidification process of ductile iron forklift wheel hub were simulated by using InteCAST software, and the dynamic process of liquid metal filling and possible casting defects formed during solidification process were predicted. Then the optimum proposal of casting process was put forward, which was successful in reducing the shrinkage defect of wheel hub. The results show that the computer numerical simulation can provide an effective reference for the evaluation and improvement of foundry process design, so as to eliminate the shrinkage defects, ensure the casting quality and shorten the design and production cycle of product.关键词
