Abstract
Based on the investigation of Albacore Tuna longline fisheries in temperate high seas of Indian Ocean (19° 35'S - 32°01'S 58°25'E - 75°52'E) by "Zhongrong No. 6" from March to May in 2008, during this period, there were 45 operations, and a total of 27 species were identified from the catches including tunas ( 1730,58.5 % ), billfishes ( 175,5. 92% ), sharks and rays ( 187,6. 32% ) and others (865,29. 25% ). Moreover, the influencing factors about the length and weight distribution of all the catches were analyzed. Finally, the countermeasures for reducing the'by-catch species were proposed.关键词
